The company is run by Richard Murray. His experiences in the industry range from working with oysters on Mersea Island to farming RSPCA approved salmon in Northern Scotland, from fishing with creels for langoustine to selling fish at Sandys fish shop in Twickenham.
Richard started Murray's Fresh Fish in London from a fish stall in Battersea from where he sold the best of the catch from the South coast at weekends and started to supply top restaurants with large line caught seabass. The excitement of supplying these restaurants and the buzz of sourcing the fish made him eager to explore that channel more, the challenge being to maintain that quality with a wide variety of fish. That was and still is the mission of the business.
